Thank you for help during car trouble
A huge shoutout to Brent Sheppard of Sheppard’s Automotive and the three bylaw officers that stopped on Phillip Street just off Canada Avenue on Wednesday the 26 [June].
I just turned onto Phillip from Canada Avenue and the van stopped and made a terrible sound when I applied the gas. It didn’t go forward though, but started creeping backwards no matter what I did. The van rolled and I managed to manoeuvre the back of it on the sidewalk, but the front was still on the road.
My husband, who is quadriplegic, was stuck in the van as I couldn’t get the ramp down for him to get out. BCAA would only tow the van if no one was inside. With the four men pushing the van uphill for 10 feet we were able to get Malcolm out using the ramp. Again, thank you all so much.
